Just north of the town of Aguadilla, this hotel is perched on a bluff high above the water. The good news is that nearly every room has a jaw-dropping view of the coastline; the bad news is that the beach is far, far away. The accommodations are comfortable, if a bit old-fashioned. The hotel's restaurant, El Bohío ($-$$), specializes in lobster, as well as other types of seafood. The open-air dining room is extremely pleasant, especially in the evening. There's often live music on weekends.

Hotel Cielo Mar--Horrible Experience
Posted by Jennifer from Hawaii on 6/30/06
A total dissapointment. This hotel should not be advertised on the Internet. This is a hotel good for locals who don't know any better and can settle for less or very little. The rooms are small, outdated, the closet doors are collapsing, the sink was collapsing, the toilet leaked and flooded the bathroom, the bathtub was clogged. Room was infected with blood sucking mosquitoes that had a buffet out of me. The supplies are very limited. In eight days our sheets were never changed; just turned up side down. They won't clean your room unless you insist. Toilet paper is provided only when the one they provide is almost gone. The waiters are rude, unprofessional and untrained when it comes to guest service. Don't expect to be seated when you enter their restaurant. On one night, after waiting in vain to be seated, my husband decided to ask a waiter if we could seat on what we thought was an available table and in a very rude, unpolite manner, the waiter simply said "NO" and totally ignored us. We left the lousy restaurant and when to another who's staff treated us little better. The Cielo Mar Hotel staff really don't care about good service, in my opinion. They are there only to make a living. On another ocassion, after we ordered dinner, we also tried to order dessert, but the waiter had the nerve to refuse selling us dessert because according to him, we had already ordered too much food. Waiters are slow and the waiting is way too long. On our last day, they tried to charge us for telephone calls we never made. No service at all. In reality, this is a 3rd World Hotel.
