Fodor's Review:
El Yunque's southern edge is the setting for this hotel. If you're up for a hike, trails from the lodge lead to a waterfall. If you'd rather relax, hammocks await you on the tiled veranda. Guest rooms are simple -- no phones or TVs -- but comfortable, with tile floors, rattan furniture, white bedspreads, plenty of windows, and balconies. You must climb many stairs to reach the upper rooms; if this is a problem, request a room on the lower level. The proprietor, who believes that healthful eating translates into healthful living, serves breakfasts that are both tasty and wholesome. Light picnic lunches can also be ordered in the morning to take with you on hikes.
