Atlántica

$$-$$$$, Seafood, San Juan

User Rating: **** 3.6

Fodor's Review:

This popular restaurant is across from its namesake, so it's no surprise that the seafood is the freshest around. Start with a plate of fried calamari, served lightly breaded and accompanied by a spicy sauce, then move on to the broiled lobster tail or grilled red snapper in a garlic sauce. Locals swear by the paella, which is loaded with scallops, clams, shrimp, and squid. The restaurant is just west of Playa Escambrón.

stuffy attitude

Atlantica obviously feels that it's reputation for fine seafood trumps all else. Food was very good but service was slow and poor. The waiter was condescending and slow and from the owner down, appearances were that they really didn't care if you came back.
