This complex of three once-independent hotels, which share facilities, is on a nice stretch of beach and offers rooms at the right price. The Amyris Hotel—the best of the bunch—is all junior suites; with enviable views of the idyllic cove, superior rooms are just that, and have kitchenettes to boot. Also on the beach is the simpler Amandiers Hotel (if you go this route, you'll be happier with a superior room). However, a standard junior suite at Amyris is just EUR 10 more than a standard room at Amandiers. All-new bathrooms are going into the Amandiers. The comfy Caribia apartments, across the street from the two beachfront hotels, have all-new rattan furniture packages with colorful, tropical flowers, terrace kitchens (some new appliances), garden views, and a small but well-stocked commissary. Pros: larger loggia rooms in Amandiers are best for Americans yet cost 25% more; can walk the beach to town or take shuttle for just EUR 4 round-trip; guests can use amenities at all three hotels. Cons: best with a rental car; no bellmen; no chaises on beach.
