This high-rise, perched on a hillside overlooking Fort-de-France, is the closest to the airport (5 mi ) and is ideal for first- or last-night stays. The style is French moderne, and the lobby looks super, with espresso-color furnishings. The place has an efficient and caring staff and is constantly upgrading. Halls have a new rust-color carpet, the rooms a fresh coat of taupe paint. Nice. The "business corner" as well as the lobby meeting room stays busy. The Valmenière is usually well occupied with business travelers and in-the-know sojourners. Leisure time can be spent mocking the traffic below from the infinity pool or bubbling in the hot tub on the solarium level. There's a fun bar-brasserie, which no longer serves meals. Le Dome has a refined dinner menu with a recommendable prix fixe. Inquire about the weekend packages.
