$$, Fort-de-France
Fodor's Review:
This high-rise, perched on a hillside overlooking Fort-de-France, is the closest to the airport (5 mi [8 km) and is ideal for first- or last-night stays. The style is French moderne, and the lobby looks super, with espresso-colored furnishings. The place is wired for work, has an efficient and caring staff, and is constantly upgrading. Consequently, it stays well occupied with business travelers and in-the-know sojourners. Leisure time can be spent mocking the traffic below from the infinity pool or bubbling in the hot tub on the solarium level. There's a fun bar-brasserie, and Friday night is particularly convivial with a piano man playing. Inquire about the weekend packages.
