Domaine Château Gaillard, a large two-story shopping complex, sells both handicrafts and tropical floral compositions at its nursery. You can find pottery, jewelry, toys, paintings, and gifts. Coffee and chocolate are also for sale, and there is a small museum chronicling both island products. Antique Creole hats and madras items are on display, too. A petite train for the kids is there for the touring. A boutique with Wi-Fi helps keep you connected. The restaurant Tropical Grill is doing a fine job, from the food and ambience to the service and the level of English. It's a good place to lunch (Noon-2:30), and if you are staying nearby, check it out for dinner. Specials include the French fave: mussels with fries. There is even a heliport, and Héli Blue (0596/66-10-80) gives 'copter tours of the island that are a high-five.
