Although the name may sound like a local eatery, it's actually quite a civilized setting with cuisine raffinée. Sip an aperitif while listening to the mesmerizing music and admiring the view from the lounge decorated with African art. (Free Wi-Fi, too.) Chef Jean-Paul Mahler has been the recipient of a number of culinary award and is a member of Euro-Toques. His à la carte menu becomes increasingly inventive, like foie gras served with house-made mango chutney and prunes in an orange sauce. An amuse-bouche arrives before the outstanding appetizers. New additions include roast monkfish with smoked duck breast, creamy Ceps sauce, mashed potatoes and foie gras. Finish with a mirabelle and vanilla parfait with caramelized hazel nuts. Lunch is served outdoors on the terrace and has a simpler, less pricey menu, and includes some salads, even one with smoked chicken.
