Those who loved Fleur de Sel are sampling the difference between it and Atomic Food, a recent evolution by the same talented chef-owner, Damien Pelé, at his original venue, a 19th-century maison bourgeoise just past the village of Trois Ilets. For the uninitiated, the term “atomic food” means the opposite of nuclear fallout and altered, processed food. It is pure food, both organic and vegan, as iterated in David Guetta’s popular song, “Atomic Food.” (Google it and listen.) Previously, the cuisine, music, and the service all came together. It was coupled with innovative French dishes, the hallmark of this young Frenchman who has worked in five-star hotels and prestigious restaurants in Europe. A new dining terrace has been added in the garden, and manning a bar constructed with recycled wood and local bamboo, is a flamboyant barman, Antoine, a true mixologist. Tapas are served from 5 pm on (€8–€18). As there is a Latin ambience, start the party with a cucumber mojito!
