In a 2009 building made of handsome native hardwoods and designed in a creole style, most of the rooms at this locally owned hotel have terraces with panoramas of the Atlantic. The remainder look upon manicured tropical gardens, streams, even a pergola. The rooms have French furniture enlivened with Caribbean colors, and are not luxury level. The game room is solid wood—beautiful. The pool complex is impressive, too. The restaurant, L'Hacienda ($–$$), is large enough
for the groups that come. There are creole buffets, but the à la carte menu has strong French influences and is quite good. Known for its live entertainment, which is mainly local combos, it usually happens on Friday and Saturday nights and all day Sunday. Nature tours by foot, bike, canoe, and horseback are offered.
