Weddings in Jamaica

Thanks to its accommodating marriage laws, tropical beauty, and bountiful couples-only resorts, Jamaica is one of the top wedding destinations in the Caribbean. Several all-inclusives, including SuperClubs and Couples, offer free wedding ceremonies, including the officiant fee, marriage license, tropical flowers, a small wedding cake, champagne, and more.

Most couples work with their resort's wedding coordinator in advance of their visit to handle the legal paperwork. You can marry after only 24 hours on the island if you've applied for your license and supplied all necessary forms beforehand. You need to supply proof of citizenship (a passport or certified copy of your birth certificate signed by a notary public), written parental consent for couples under age 18, proof of divorce with the original or certified copy of the divorce decree if applicable, and copy of the death certificate if a previous marriage ended in death. Blood tests are not required.
