It's not often that a convention facility is also a tourist attraction, but that's the case with the Jamaica Conference Centre, which guides point out on most city tours. The facility, built in 1982, serves as headquarters for the International Seabed Authority, a division of the United Nations. The center is equipped with simultaneous translation facilities for many languages. Around-the-clock security protects the center, which includes delegates' lounges and a cafeteria and exhibition hall.
