The Caves Restaurant
The Caves Restaurant Review
This gorgeous Island Outpost boutique resort on Negril's West End has opened up its restaurant to nonguests if they make a reservation. The price of US$100 per person covers a three-course dinner, a welcome drink, and a bottle of wine. The cuisine is authentic Jamaican with a twist. For US$300 per couple, you can book private, romantic candlelit five-course dinner in one of the sea-front caves. The hotel's bar, the Sands, is open Wednesday and Saturday from 4–7, during which you can join in cliff-jumping, a popular West End pastime, and enjoy exotic cocktails and fare from the smoky jerk grill. The Blackwell Rum Bar located in a private cave is open Wednesday to Saturday, 5 pm to 10 pm. You can also dine under the stars on Thursday evenings at the Sands for US$100 per person, when a mento band plays. Much of the produce served here comes from the hotel's organic farm in the parish of Trelawny.
