Jakes Hotel Villas & Spa Review

Jakes takes seaside charm and combines it with art and indivuality to create a chic place that oozes personality. Each room or cottage is designed with unique colors and funky furnishings by Sally Henzell, who founded the resort that's now managed by her son Jason. Signature touches include mosaic tiles and headboards and walls made from concrete that's had colored glass bottles inserted into it. Accomodations have outdoor showers or bathtubs with solar-heated water, and there's a yoga deck above the Driftwood Spa. Jason encourages guests to become involved in the local scene, whether fishing with the locals or hitting a rum shop. The owners also also developed the nearby Lionel Densham Aerodrome, so that guests can come in by private aircraft, and there is a helipad on the resort.
