Usain Bolt: Jamaica's 2nd International Champ

Until recently, reggae legend Bob Marley was Jamaica's only international icon. But these days, the fastest man in the world, Usain Bolt, has also reached global icon status and is hero-worshipped on the island. Bolt holds the current Olympic record for the 100m and 200m, successfully defending his own titles, and was part of the Jamaican team to win the 4x100m relay. He now holds six Olympic gold medals for sprinting and is a five-time qorld champion. As well as being one of the world's most marketable athletes, he is a goodwill ambassador for Jamaica and undertakes charitable works for children. Bolt grew up in the parish of Trelawny and now lives in Kingston, where he owns the sports bar Tracks and Records. His winning track shoes and outfits are on display there. Bolt is not the only Jamaican sporting star, as fellow athletes Asafa Powell and Yohan Blake are also champion male runners, while Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is the current 100m Olympic champion for the second consecutive time. Visitors can tour the training ground in Kingston used by these stars and the many other champion Jamaican runners who dominate international sports.
