Sit with your feet in the sand and an icy Desperados Red beer in your hand and watch the sunsets turn the sky pink. The drinks and their prices both go down very easy here. Segue into dinner at this whimsical, colorful beach bar–restaurant. Chef Gilbert, a Marie-Galantais, has fresh lobsters for €30; lambi (conch) and flavorful local dishes; three-course prix fixes range from €20 to €25. The bilingual French manageress, Claire, will even let you take a kayak out while it is still light out. Once a month there is either a DJ party or a karaoke night. If you're looking to stay over, there are two simple bungalows (€40) and a double bungalow for €70, good for a family of four.
