One of the largest properties on Marie-Galante faces one of the island's best beaches, offering acres of tropical landscaping surrounding a cheery yellow, hilltop hotel. A large reception area is flanked by a meeting room where you can sit and use the free Wi-Fi. The guest rooms are spacious and attractive, with fine bathrooms and kitchenettes on terraces, but the most desirable rooms are the large duplexes geared to sleep four. Unfortunately, much about the hotel needs to be updated. Although there are no elevators, it is still best to give up the convenience of ground-floor rooms (too many lizards and bugs crawling around). The restaurant isn't the greatest and closes on Sunday nights.
