LCS. LCS, in business since the early 1980s, specializes in lessons for adults and children six and older. Instructors are certified by the French National Federation of Sailing. The company organizes offshore competitions and also runs a retail surf shop. The action takes place on remarkable Caravelle Beach. UCPA Hotel Club. Windsurfing buffs congregate at the UCPA Hotel Club, where for moderate weekly rates (beginning at €805 or €115 a day) they sleep in hostel-style quarters, eat three meals a day, and do a lot of windsurfing. Lessons and boards (also available to nonguests) are included in the package, as are bikes to pedal to the lagoon. A sister club on Terre-de-Haut has a water-sports center in the middle of town, though the hotel itself is out on isolated Baie de Marigot. There is a lot of action at le centre UCPA, where island visitors can rent windsurfing equipment for €25, take a lesson for €30, or take a kitesurfing lesson for €60 (€20 if part of a group).
