Fodor's Review

This simple abode will appeal to budget travelers and long-term guests—even single women can feel safe, warm, and dry here. Rooms are at least one flight up and are a good size, with sufficient windows. The five newer rooms are fresher, but 1990s-style rattan furniture is the look. You will feel part of the village here, but the hotel will also give you wrist bands so that you can go to the same great beach as the AI guests at the nearby Dreams La Romana. (Only if you

buy a full day pass from Dreams, though, will you be able to partake of the AI resort's food or drinks.) You can check your e-mail at the lobby computer, where there's nothing else but the reception desk. Breakfast is served at 8 am in the newer restaurant with sea views.
