Emerald Beach Club Review

In the epicenter of Cabarete Beach, it manages to be barefoot and carefree, yet sophisticated and stylish. You can dine seated in comfy white banquettes under a towering palm-thatched roof or recline on silk-tasseled Bali beds in the sand. This is the big draw here rather than the food, but the menu has some noteworthy items like the Colombian crab empanadas and Peruvian ceviche, as well as the fresh catch or shrimp bathed in the anise-laced curry-cream sauce. Equally recommendable are the trio of crème brûlées (vanilla, passion fruit, and coconut) and flan made softer with cream cheese. Usually, come 11 pm, a DJ cranks up the music. Other nights the crowd grooves with the interactive performance artists or professional musicians, and oo and aah at the beachy fashion shows.

    Emerald Beach Club Review

This is the worst place that you can go in Cabarete. The service in Emerald Beach Club is far from the service in the rest of the restaurants here. First, we could nor order food, though the people behind us were able to do so at the same arrival time. Second, we ordered a drink and the server assured us we were getting what we ordered (Stolichnaya), however both times the drink tasted different and the check brought to us said something else (Eristoff). Once we change servers in Emerald Beach Club and we ordered a drink of Stolichnaya, he told us we could only get it by the bottle, confirming that we had been robbed. Needles to say, if you ever go to Cabarete, I recommend going to a different restaurant or bar, there are many other options besides this "want to be" restaurant.
