Compared to the digs many surfers occupy, this small mid-rise hotel is a deluxe address. In fact, many of the occupants, particularly in low season and on weekends, are well-to-do Dominican families, who often take the units with kitchens or the penthouses. The young kite surfers usually live on breakfast, burgers, and burritos from the Dare2fly bar, right in front, where the kite school is. A small pool is to the left, and the tiny lobby has a free public computer. It's all modern and moderately priced. Pros: All rooms have balconies and incredible views of the sea and the kite action, excellent two-for-one rum cocktails during happy hour. Cons: More regular maintenance is needed due to heavy occupancy, everything feels small—the hotel, grounds, pool, beachfront, can be noisy, especially on weekends.
