Villa Castellamonte Review

This is one of the jewels in the string of lavish vacation homes collectively known as Orchid Bay Estates. Its Italianate design, ceiling paintings, and original art by Guillermo Estrada raise it to the level of palazzo. Guests can swim in the large pool, bubble in the Jacuzzi, or descend the stairway that leads to a semiprivate, golden beach. The home offers as many diversions and amenities as a beach resort (including a well-stocked wine cellar); the caring staff makes it feel like home. Kids are welcome and love the game room, karaoke, shuffleboard, and more. This is truly opulent and unforgettable, be it for a destination wedding, small conference, or a reunion. With eight bedrooms, even these rates can be affordable if you bring enough paying friends. Airport transfers are available from Puerto Plata; the mandatory meal plan is $65 per person per day.
