If you're keen on local and fresh ingredients, you'll like this restaurant, where all the fruits and vegetables are grown on-site; everything else (except for the meat) is grown within a mile. What's more, it's romantic, high on a hill overlooking the ocean amid tropical gardens you're sure to stroll through. Arrive early for a cocktail at the bar. Don't expect gastronomy, but rather a nice meal in a pleasing environment. The menu offers chicken, fish, shrimp, pork, beef, a vegetarian choice, and a chef's special (lobster one day, barbecue another). The fish is fresh, and the kitchen prepares it so that it is still moist. A meal here has an air of camaraderie and conviviality—so much so that it can sometimes feel like a house party. American owner Tim and his daughter Ashley are on-site to manage the property and care for the clients. This is also a great place for breakfast.
