A wave of pink adobe, sculpted in a Mexican hacienda design, is the Restaurant at Casa Valeria and the diminutive hotel of the same name. A palm tree snakes its way through the thatched roof, and a handpainted mural of a happy, local scene takes up one wall. From the tiny galley such classics like salad Niçoise and escargot provençales emerge, as well as inimitable pastas such as a carbonara with a splash of Ameretto as the secret ingredient. Guests brag about the filet mignon bordelaise with caramelized onions. Chill with the soothing CDs as you segue to crêpes with French bitter orange and Grand Marnier confit. Pricing is an incredible value for the peso. Breakfast is also very popular here.
