Miró Tapas y Paella

  • Eclectic

Updated 03/12/2014

Fodor's Review

Miró is now honoring its Spanish namesake with a new menu from Spain—you can almost hear the castenets. The classic tapas are all on it, from patatas bravas (fresh-cut potatoes fried) served with mayonnaise to octopus a la Gallega, plus a traditional Andalusian gazpacho. Authentic paellas (for two) run from the classic seafood to chicken, as well as a combination of seafood and chicken and vegetarian. There are non-Spanish mains like Thai shrimp curry and beef

tenderloin with three pepper cream sauces, and celiac, gluten-free, vegetarian, and kosher options. This landmark restaurant is smack on the beach with its share of lounge furniture. Take a table on the sand and listen to the gentle jazz.

Miró Gallery & Restaurant Review

Heaven on a Beach this is ART! merging in subtle seamless ELEGANCE with the SAND & PALM trees that only later you start to wonder… how! & then comes the CEVICHE! like a masterpiece perfectly arranged, it’s seems too beautiful to eat, but once you taste, you want to savor this forever! the FRESHNESS, the tender textures, the spices in a perfect (again!) harmonic composition! my suggestion, whenever you feel like you want to be spoilt, slip off

your sandals, point your finger to one of these extravagantly beautiful meals & enjoy… heaven!

orgiastic chocolate joys, freshest tuna, Moroccan flavors

If you don't know that there is a chocolate cake that can reconcile you with all the tribulations this beautiful life holds - well, then you certainly have not yet experienced the joy of such a glorious, most delightful masterpiece coming from Lydia's kitchen! bathing in a luxurious, velvety chocolate sauce that inundates the palate with such orgiastic melting sweetness that you would want to faint! & faint you can - there's abundant soft upholstery

of comfy sofas to fall into. Not only legged fishes standing around but especially the freshest tuna, delicious Ceviche, Moroccan flavors, Yucca balls... This restaurant, furbished with love & taste, is kind of the artistic heart of Cabarete, a gallery with changing exhibitions like the expressive works of a remarkable Cuban painteress, & holds the opportunity to meet local artists as well as lovely Lydia herself... I hear now there're also exciting Jazz concerts happening!
