Castle Club Review

A man's home is his castle. In this one, Doug Beers prepares creative lunches and dinners for guests who cross the foothills to enjoy this one-of-a-kind experience. His wife, Marguerite, is the gracious hostess, who shows patrons their expansive mountain home and the artwork strategically positioned between the many open-air arches. Served on antique lace tablecloths strewn with bougainvillea, the well-orchestrated dinner might consist of canapés, carrot-ginger soup, Thai salad, grouper with a ginger-passion fruit sauce, fiesta rice, cold lemon soufflé, and coffee. After dinner, Doug lights a fire in the great room and offers guests a liqueur to warm their interiors. You must make reservations in advance, since this meal is cooked in the owner's own house.

    Pleasant Dining Experience

The Castle Club offered an excellent dining experience, the poisson was just right. Doug and Marguerite make you feel at ease in this charming setting. Will return again in October.
