If you're staying at this beachfront eco-lodge, you'll likely take most of your meals here. If not, definitely go, not only for the freshest of seafood, but for the soothing ambience. Seafood is at the heart of the menu here, and appropriately so, because diners listen to the sounds of the waves crashing on coral rock as they fork the catch of the day. The menu changes with the seasons while holding tight to some perennial favorites. The vegetables and herbs are farmed at Natura's organic garden. An innovative ceviche has octopus and conch marinated with pineapple juice, honey, and tiger milk. That appetizer could be coupled with a filet mignon in a coconut-blue cheese sauce. For dessert, enjoy a classic such as tiramisu with a tropical twist—passion fruit. Know that rich, flavorful soups, many pastas, vegetarian (and vegan) dishes round out the menu. The handmade pasta is delicious and every thing possible is made from scratch—bread, burger buns, pastries, etc. The wines are French, Spanish, and Chilean (go for the reservas). Service is warm, caring, and efficient, the international music atmospheric. Just renovated, with an emphasis on the bar, a “chill out” deck on the beach side has been added.
