Perched above Sosua Bay, a new world-class culinary experience awaits with all the criteria for such a designation: innovative contemporary cuisine; a superlative setting; a classy but casual ambience; capable and caring servers; a young and fun spirit, and pricing that is fair. Baia Lounge is within the Ocean Club, an entity that is akin to a private club but is open to the public with reservation. Topside, past the infinity pool, is the alfresco dining area that includes

a deck shaded by umbrellas. By day one can watch a fascinating parade of boats and at sunset vivid colors streak across a cerulean sky. Chef/partner Giancarlo Fiori works his magic by fusing four cuisines: Mediterranean; Asian; New World, and American Grill. Each forkful is a sensory rush and visually, his plates are eye candy. And if ever there was a “man-cave,” the subterranean level is a wine cellar with hundreds of vintages, and a cigar lounge offering premium smokes. Sexy and edgy from the design space to the dessert wine, this is simply “the good life.” An oasis in Sosua, it’s more like a dream vision.
