Fodor's Review

Italian fashion designer Piergorgio has passed away, but his widow is carrying on, and their "dream" hotel/restaurant continues to operate. This white, Victorian replica, with its wraparound veranda and gingerbread fretwork, is an atmospheric landmark whose rooms should be updated; ask for one of the newer, waterfront rooms/suite (No. 500s), which have knockout sea vistas. The hotel's convenient location with its monumental view is the draw—at sunset the gazebo has breathtaking

bay views, as does the outdoor Italian restaurant. Piergorgio’s fine reputation as a wedding venue continues, and honeymooners love its romantic feel.
