Fodor's Review

Far from the maddening crowd, Hotel La Catalina is situated on a mountain side with stunning panoramic views of the Atlantic. A peaceful retreat that's easy on the mind and budget, the property is split between condos on one side and hotel rooms on the other. In general, the condo accommodations are larger but don't have a/c. The simple hotel rooms have an all-white motif and a/c. There is a beach shuttle service and one of the closest (a mile away) is gorgeous Orchid

Bay Beach. Amenities include two pools, tennis courts, yoga and conference rooms and full spa services. Courteous, long-term employees are the norm here.

Hotel La Catalina Review

We recently stayed at Hotel La Catalina and were thoroughly impressed. The ocean view from the restaurant is just incredible. Their staff is warm and friendly. We took a two hour horseback riding excursion with Rancho Paraiso and they picked us up on horseback right at the hotel. It was awesome, and we went back two days later for a 3 hour tour! Beautiful horses and great English-speaking guides. The grounds of the hotel are immaculate, and we loved

sitting at the bar having a drink while we watched the sun set over the ocean. We'll definitely be back. The owner is always present checking on how you are doing.
