Beach It. Take yourself to one of the less populated beaches in Cabarete or as far afield as Playa Preciosa in Rio San Juan.

Kite surfing. Try an adventure sport like kite surfing, or if you cannot physically participate, watch the kites and take the pictures. The sails are a form of flowing art.

Play 18 holes. Playa Dorada's Robert Trent Jones-designed course is moderately priced, and its renovated clubhouse is a convivial experience.

Love the Nightlife of Cabarete. The night here starts early with Happy Hour at one of the beachfront restaurants. After dinner, when the dancing cranks up, it's another whole party. Sosúa is another popular destination for nightlife.

Experience Ocean World. Swim with the dolphins, see white tigers close up, and watch the sea lions perform at this world-class marine adventure park.
