Fodor's Review

Close to La Briciola, Doubles used to look like a French friend's place—one who was prone to mixing rattan furniture, antiques, subdued lighting, and candles in a space that's centuries old. But, the interior decor and the crowd have changed significantly at this landmark in "the Zone." Well, the Spanish tiles still add character to this atmospheric bar, but everything else has been contemporized—the couches, the high-tech lighting, and the patrons, who are now mainly twentysomethings who can dance to whatever the DJ spins, mainly electronic music. French wines are available and some light fare and snacks. Open Sunday through Thursday until 1 am, Friday and Saturday until 3 am. No phone for now, due to the road construction that has been part of the Zone beautification project.
