Fodor's Review:

The sprawling, pink oasis is perennially popular, particularly with Americans, for its beautiful grounds and huge, free-form pool. Fountains splash and hot tubs gurgle. Saunas bake in what is the capital's largest fitness club—which was undergoing a needed renovation at this writing. Everything is bigger than life, from the rooms, where executive-size desks face the satellite TV, to the gigantic suites in the renovated main building to the generous lobby and huge, lively casino where bands heat up the action. It has the town's only cabaret theater. Comfy European linens and duvets make sleeping a dream vision. Management and staff are professional and caring. Check the Web for weekend packages, including even golf, and more. Pros: Hotel is busy and lively and will match any discount Internet rate, offers an optional all-inclusive plan (rare in Santo Domingo). Cons: Can be a bit too busy at times, nothing understated about the decor, some rooms outdated.
