The unassuming charm of this whitewashed,Victorian-style restaurant edged with gingerbread work, can rival relaxed beachfront dining anywhere. Always one of the most popular restaurants in Pueblo de los Pescadores, now it's the only original tenant that has been rebuilt after the complex's devastating fire of 2012. What sets it apart is the care taken by its founding European owner, Willy Barrera. The menu, although not wildly inventive, is consistently good, as is the service. Specials might feature "sun-inspired" dishes like sunny-yellow zucchini blossoms deep-fried until they're crispy and perfect; the octopus is especially delicious. A surprisingly good wine selection is in the wine cooler.
