Fodor's Review

This adults-only, all-inclusive resort—the most expensive and highest rated of the Bahía Príncipes in Samaná—hogs two-thirds of the gorgeous island for itself, but you can't deny that it has the best beaches, pools, and recreational choices of any area resort. Twice-daily ferries shuttle you from the mainland (15 minutes). The oversized guest rooms are notably attractive, especially after the recent cosmetic renovation; each has a balcony or terrace that looks out over the ocean, with a canopy bed and a whirlpool bath separated by a glass partition. Service is a high point—and you will be treated with care by the hard-working Dominican staff. The peppy "animation" team puts on amateur shows each night.
