Punta Cana Grand

Fodor's Review:

This handsome, English-Caribbean-style resort, where bellmen even wear pith helmets, aims for a younger, more active clientele. Water sports are strong here, and the resort is situated on one of the best stretches of beach, with its own coral reef just offshore. Food is generally good, with snacking options and semi-top-shelf liquors. The Explorer Club is creative with kids, as is the teen center. The Metamorphosis Spa, with its meditation garden and Jacuzzis, gentle music, herbal aromas, and billowing white netting, offers a sleek sanctuary; conversely, there's a fun casino. A genuinely warm hospitality will make you feel welcome, even though the ratio of Americans is still relatively low. If you need to check out but want to enjoy a beach day before your flight from the nearby airport, there is a separate changing facility with showers.
