At the country's most illustrious resort, golfers vie for tee-times at the three famed Pete Dye-designed courses, while their offspring have a grand time. Family reunions in luxury villas are popular. The offerings are constantly evolving and include hot-rock massages and Tae Bo classes at the beach. Rooms are called casitas and are in two-story, nondescript blocks, but inside they are soundproof and commodious, with down pillows, walk-in closets, and balconies overlooking the gardens. A drawback is Minitas Beach, which is relatively unremarkable, not to mention a long ride from most rooms. What's great is that each room comes with a golf cart, and guests can rent electric bikes; there's an efficient shuttle, too. Booking a room on the EP plan is possible, but few do because the all-inclusive plan is a better value.
