Iberostar's reputation for excellent cuisine has helped to cement its popularity with families and incentive groups. The breakfast buffet is a "Yes!" El Colonial, the gourmet room, may be one of the best in the all-inclusive world. Its idyllic beach with its lighthouse bar, doesn't hurt, either. The crowd here is an interesting mix with some very attractive younger types, hip families with young kids, enough French to warrant the bars stocking Ricard, and seniors who are staying as long as three weeks. A recent party honoring repeat guests numbered 125. One hip baby-boomer couple, enjoying their ninth visit, testified that they had stopped looking for any other destination! Junior suites are worth the few dollars more. This resort has familial warmth as well as a definite fun quotient.
