A favorite among locals and still one of the best resort-based dance spots, Pacha plays more merengue and bachata than most of the other clubs, but still is geared to "young" contemporary music. The later it gets, typically the louder it gets. The place is not that large and is handsome in its decor, especially the bar. Drinks here are cheaper, too. For a beer, expect to pay about 80 pesos (about $2.50); the price can be double in some of the other clubs. Cover charges apply when live bands perform; otherwise it's free to enter, and non-resort guests are welcome. If you're staying at the Riu Macao complex, it's an easy, safe enough walk.
