Fodor's Expert Review Pacha

A favorite among locals and still one of the best resort-based dance spots, Pacha plays more merengue and bachata than most of the other clubs, but still is geared to young, contemporary music. The later it gets, typically the louder it gets. The place is not that large, but it's attractive, and drink prices are cheaper than other clubs in the area. Cover charges apply when live bands perform; otherwise it's free to enter (always free for Riu Hotel guests), and nonresort guests are welcome.

If you're staying at the Riu Macao complex, it's an easy, safe enough walk.
