Sanctuary Cap Cana Review

This stellar resort, the keystone of Cap Cana, was rebranded once again in 2013 but still welcomes families, with The Fortress wing reserved for adults only; both all-inclusive and EP plans are offered. A contemporary landmark, The Sanctuary's gorgeous stone facade is reminiscent of the 16th-century Alcázar de Colón in Santo Domingo, the interior public spaces influenced by Dominican colonial-style mansions. Standard accommodations are all junior suites with patios; peach while larger suites look out onto Playa Juanillor. Room decor is chic, with lots of rich woods, marble baths, fine linens and plump pillows, and silk robes. The resort has five pools, and the luxurious spa is within The Fortress. World-class golf is just a swing away at Punta Espada. Easy access to the Marina Cap Cana increases the number of high-quality restaurants, and there's always 24-hour room service. The only buffet is the exceptional one in the breakfast room.
