Tortuga Bay Review

Shuttered French windows that open to grand vistas of the sea and a cotton-white private beach are hallmarks of this luxury-villa enclave within the grounds of Puntacana Resort & Club. Personal attention is big here; your own villa manager will grant your every wish. Oscar de la Renta designed the classy colonial-Caribbean rooms, which exude contemporary, understated elegance with a soft palette of colors (lots of sunny yellows) and plush bed linens. The breathtaking bathrooms, made in stone, have a Jacuzzi for two. The minibar is stocked with premium liquors, and there's a desk and a huge flat-screen TV. You can rent a laptop, and Internet access is free. A golf cart is included, and zipping along the gorgeous coastline is one of the joys here. Villa guests have an exclusive restaurant, Bamboo, plus access to all the facilities of the main resort, including the impeccable golf courses and the glorious Six Senses Spa.
