Personal attention is big here; your own villa manager will grant your every wish. Although privacy is paramount, there's also a sense of community. Oscar de la Renta designed the classy colonial-Caribbean rooms, which exude contemporary, understated elegance with a soft palette of colors (lots of sunny yellows) and plush bed linens. The breathtaking bathrooms, made in stone, have a Jacuzzi for two. The minibar is stocked with premium liquors, and there's a desk and a huge flat-screen TV. You can rent a laptop, and Internet access is free. A golf cart is included, and zipping along the gorgeous coastline is one of the joys here. Breakfast poolside with fresh squeezed OJ is another taste of the good life.
