Punta Cana Nightlife

Mangú Review

Even if their night begins elsewhere, many party-scene insiders wind up sooner or later at Mangú, with two floors of pulsating rhythms to keep club goers charged. Upstairs, techno is pumped nonstop, while the downstairs dance floor tends toward reggaeton, hip-hop, and urban music mixed up with salsa, merengue, and bachata. The dance club, on the grounds of the Occidental complex, allows guests from off-property, and you'll find a mix of tourists and locals at all hours of the night. It opens at 11 pm, but things don't get hot here until after midnight, and they keep on going until 5 am. Another draw is the club's big-screen TV—good for watching sporting events. Resort guest have free entrance, but drinks are extra. For non-Occidental guests, there's usually a cover charge, higher if there's live music.
