Shaped like a double-deck yacht, this sophisticated open-air restaurant on the sand is a charming hotspot for lunch and dinner. Tables are on light wooden platforms, sheltered by thatched roofing but not fully enclosed. When weather demands it, sheer white linens are secured to the wooden railings to protect against sun, wind, or rain without obstructing the exquisite beachfront views. At night, soft lighting creates a romantic effect, and lounge music enhances the ambience. Fresh seafood caught by local fishermen is the focus of the menu, but chicken and beef dishes are also available, as is a special children's menu. Lobster lovers can look forward to sinking their claws into the oven-baked langosta de la casa (house lobster). For a more diverse shellfish meal, try the seafood grill for two, which included crawfish, lobster, shrimp, conch, and octopus. One special option is the De Leon Cigar smoking lounge, where you can arrange a private dinner and showing with the owner, who will talk about the process of creating the specialty smokes; or you can simply light up and sample different cigars for sale. If you eat dinner, the restaurant offers free transportation back to your hotel (though not free transportation to the restaurant). Some resorts, like Paradisus Palma Real and the Barceló Bávaro complex, are within walking distance. The space is sometimes closed for private parties and weddings, so it's best to call ahead for reservations.
