Fodor's Review:
At this stellar outpost in the Playa de Uvero Alto frontier, the food is quality, with the buffeteria having some outdoor tables shaded by market umbrellas, and you have a good choice of à la carte rooms; there's even a wine cellar. Yet, its prices are the same as at shabby, decade-old resorts. There is a strong fun quotient here, which seems to emanate from its vast array of water sports and its flowing network of pools that meander effortlessly to a light-sand beach. Families are catered to and the kids' programs at the eye-popping Explorer's Club are superior; there are even sleepovers. Conference groups enjoy the extensive meeting facilities and honeymooners love the private outdoor Jacuzzi suites. Standard rooms, although somewhat petite, have high-quality, light-hued furnishings, four-poster canopy beds, and terraces. The Asian-inspired spa and fitness center is one of the country's best, with a series of water treatments guided by a step-by-step wellness circuit.
