What you get here is a charismatic taste of French bonhomie. The hotel has the kind of international sophistication you find in Bali. Individual bungalows with palapa roofs are spaced throughout the manicured tropical gardens; though few have real ocean views, several overlook the curvaceous pool. The bungalows do not have air-conditioning or television, but they do have artistic, open-air bathrooms with fascinating European tile work and decorative fixtures. Available by day, week, or month, 21 new apartments, built behind the hotel, have been colorfully decorated. Terraces overlook a pool. Here you can find air-conditioning and TVs. Kitchens are well equipped and the larger bi-level apartments are cool looking, but anyone sleeping on the loft level has to traipse through the master bedroom to share the bathroom.
