This compact all-inclusive property straddles the border of the town of Varadero and its long strip of resorts. Before the Cuban revolution, this resort was the seaside hangout of the later toppled leader Fulgencio Batista. The hotel is understaffed, making the main reception area a tad chaotic. The rooms themselves are acceptable, but bathrooms and fixtures are ordinary. What rocks here is the beachfront, which is exquisite.
