Fodor's Review

This vast hotel, which is right on the park for which it's named, offers many modern creature comforts as well as a convenient location. It may not be as charming as other area hotels, but it has spacious, well-equipped rooms, and the suites are truly luxurious. The pool area, bars, and restaurants—of which there are several, including a steak house and Italian restaurant—are lively. There's also an on-site cigar bar.

NH Parque Central Review

I love the Parque Central, and as an Australian citizen, I don't need to ask my my government for permission to travel anywhere. FYI this hotel hasn't been part of the NH chain for ages. Please do your homework.

Oasis in Havana

Bar Staff and Chambermaids very friendly, Breakfast waiters not quite as friendly. The Bar was one of very few places in Havana we felt really secure and never got ripped off, although it is expensive. If you smoke, they insist on changing the ash trays after every cigarette, very graciously.

You want touristy..you got it!

Well, I have to say that out of the three hotels I tried in Havana, this was my least favorite. Why? the location is not the most wonderful. It's neither here nor there. The ambience is Eurotourist Kitch. Those that want to travel and yet stay home would love this place. Marriott, anyone? The breakfast buffet was the handsdown winner. The rooms were a tad worn but the bathrooms were very up to par. Hey, if you want something you can count on that's

close to home, this is it.
