El Gallo de Morón

  • Public Art (Mural/Sculpture/Statue)

Fodor's Review

Morón is known as the "City of the Rooster" (after a cocky public official in the Spanish town for which it was named), and thus has a large steel sculpture of a cockerel, El Gallo de Morón, that crows (thanks to a recorded broadcast) twice daily, at 6 am and 6 pm. It's on Calle Martí near the south end of town.
