Seven Fathoms Rum Review
Surprisingly, this growing company, established in 2008, is Cayman's first distillery. It's already garnered medals in prestigious international competitions for its artisanal small-batch rums. You can stop by for a tasting and self-guided tour, learning how they age the rum at 7 fathoms (42 feet) deep; supposedly the natural kinetic motion of the currents enables the rum to maximize contact with the oak, extracting its rich flavors and enhancing complexity. Based on the results, it's not just yo-ho-hokum.
