East meets West at this elegant eatery, and the combination makes for a tasty meal. The look juxtaposes some Thai crafts and black-lacquer accents with track lighting, blue-pomegranate-and-mango sponge-painted walls, gilt-trim flower paintings, and bold artworks of semi-abstract beach scenes and decidedly Western cupids. The Thai chefs turn out splendid classics like yum nuer (sliced char-grilled strip loin tossed with green salad in lime dressing); the standout signature entrée is boneless duck sautéed with basil and bell peppers in chili sauce. Seafood lovers can opt for the fresh sushi, and plentiful vegetarian options include curries perfumed with lemongrass. Sunday's Thai-sushi buffet (just CI$13.95) is a superb bargain. Desserts return west, besting most Asian restaurants: dark-and-white-chocolate mousse cake with crème anglaise and raspberry coulis is a standout.
