This North Sound beach has hammocks slung in towering casuarina trees, picnic tables, the thatched Wreck Bar & Grill, and Red Sail Sports, which offers various water sports and boats to explore Stingray City. The barrier reef ensures safe snorkeling and soft sand. The bottom remains shallow for a long way from shore, but it's littered with small coral heads, so kids shouldn't wrestle in the water here. The Wreck is ablaze with color—yellow with navy blue trim and orange and green picnic tables—as if trying to upstage the snorkeling just offshore. Just around the bend, the quintessential beach hangout Kaibo rocks during the day (fantastic lunches costing half the price of dinner, festive atmosphere including impromptu volleyball tourneys, and free Wi-Fi), but serves murderous margaritas and mudslides into the evening to a boisterous bevy of yachties, locals, sports buffs, and expats.

Made it to Rum Point as part of a sting ray city excursion through red sail sports. Beach was beautiful, but very crowded, and that's without a cruise ship in port. There were lots of beach chairs available, as well as picnic tables and hammocks. Also a couple volleyball nets available. Cute little snack shop right on the beach with tasty basic meals available, and really good frozen cocktails. I wasn't able to venture much of the beach, but if you get there by car, I would recommend also driving down to Cayman Kai for their beach and restaurant.
